Payment & Reimbursement Options
Radiant Wellness MD operates on a self-pay basis, allowing us to offer transparent pricing and flexible care. While we do not bill insurance directly, we are happy to provide a superbill for you to submit to your insurance for potential out-of-network reimbursement.
In many cases, visits may also be paid for using HSA or FSA funds, depending on your plan’s rules. Coverage and reimbursement vary, so we encourage patients to confirm details with their insurer or benefits administrator.
About Radiant Wellness
Compassionate Care Rooted in Understanding
I created Radiant Wellness MD because I saw a need in my community for more support for women during the postpartum period. As I gained experience caring for women in this season, I began to witness something profound. Many mothers arrive feeling discouraged and confused by the emotions they are experiencing. With time and support, they begin to find their glow again. As we work together, their spark re-ignites and their natural radiance starts to shine through. It is both incredibly humbling and deeply fulfilling to witness.
Through this platform, I aim to reach more mothers who need support during the postpartum period but may otherwise struggle to access care. As a family medicine physician with a background in obstetrics and women’s health, I understand that the postpartum period is not just a medical transition. It is also an emotional and identity shift that deserves individualized, compassionate, trauma-informed care. As a fellow mother, I have experienced the emotional shifts and challenges of this season firsthand, adding depth and connection to the way I care for women during this time.
This practice exists to support women with steady, compassionate care as they rediscover their strength, clarity, and radiance.
Understanding PMADs
What Are PMADs?
Perinatal Mood and Anxiety Disorders (PMADs) are medical conditions that can occur during pregnancy or at any time after childbirth. They include (post partum) depression, anxiety, panic symptoms, and intrusive thoughts, OCD and may affect each person differently.
PMADs are common, treatable, and not a reflection of personal strength or parenting ability. With appropriate medical support, sometimes with medications, most people experience meaningful improvement and recovery.

Baby Blues vs. Perinatal Mood & Anxiety Disorders (PMADs)
Baby Blues
Post Partum Depression
Emotional ups and downs that come and go
Persistent or worsening emotional symptoms
Tearfulness or increased sensitivity
Ongoing sadness, anxiety, numbness, or feeling disconnected
Mood changes that gradually improve
Symptoms lasting longer than two weeks or intensifying over time
Feeling overwhelmed but still able to function
Difficulty functioning or feeling unlike yourself
Typically begin in the first days after birth
Can begin during pregnancy or at any point postpartum
Usually improves on its own
Requires treatment for recovery
It’s okay to need help — you don’t have to do this alone.

Meet Dr. Heyn
Dr. Andrea Heyn
Dr. Andrea Heyn is a board-certified family medicine physician with specialized training in obstetrics and extensive experience caring for women through pregnancy, postpartum, and early parenthood. She founded Radiant Wellness to address a gap she saw repeatedly in practice: mothers navigating postpartum depression or anxiety without timely, physician-led support.
Dr. Heyn has worked across outpatient clinics, hospital-based obstetrics, urgent care, and primary care settings. This breadth allows her to approach postpartum mental health with medical depth and practical clarity—recognizing when symptoms reflect normal adjustment vs when they signal perinatal mood and anxiety disorders (PMADs) and further intervention is needed.
Her approach is evidence-based, trauma-informed, and grounded in respectful partnership. Radiant Wellness is a medical practice—not therapy—designed to provide thoughtful assessment, education, and brief skills-based intervention or prescription medications when appropriate, while maintaining clear boundaries and complementing existing care relationships.
Radiant Wellness exists to support mothers during a period of profound transition, offering calm, competent medical care when clarity, reassurance, and timely guidance matter most.

Outside of medicine, I love being a mom to my toddler, Alexandria, who playfully helps me care for our chickens. I recharge by throwing pottery on the wheel and taking quiet walks with my dogs. These moments of connection ground the way I care for others.
